Slamdot Email Server Settings
Posted by Daniel on November 7, 2010Here are the settings you'll need when configuring a desktop or mobile email client to check your Slamdot (non-Google Apps) email account. For Slamdot customers using Google Apps, please see our article with the Google Apps Email Server Settings.
Incoming Server
- POP3
- Incoming Server Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- Incoming Server Port: 110
- IMAP
- Incoming Server Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- Incoming Server Port: 143
Outgoing Server
- SMTP
- Outgoing Server Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing Server Port: 587
The outgoing server for Slamdot require SMTP authentication when using port 587, which is highly recommended for security and to keep from getting blocked by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Microsoft Outlook users will need to manually enable this feature.
Important: When entering your Username, please enter your entire email address (i.e. username@yourdomain.com).
