The steps below are for setting up your Slamdot email account on your iPhone using IMAP.

  1. On your iPhone go to Settings.
  2. On the Settings screen, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. Tap Other.
  5. Tap Add Mail Account.
  6. Enter your Name.
  7. Enter your Email Address.
  8. Enter your Password.
  9. Enter a short Description for your email.
  10. Tap Next.
  11. Because you're using IMAP, tap IMAP.
  12. For your incoming server, use the following settings:
    Hostname
    mail.yourdomain.com
    Username
Your full email address again (must include @yourdomain.com)
    Password
    Your email account password.
  13. For the outgoing server, use the following settings:
    Outgoing (SMTP) Server
    mail.yourdomain.com
    Port number
    587
    Security type
    None
  14. Make sure SSL (Secure Connection) is turned ON under the "Advanced" settings.
  15. For Authentication, choose Password.
  16. The incoming server port should be set to 993 with SSL enabled, so make sure that's configured properly.
  17. Tap Next (or go back to the main Account screen and tap Done if you're editing an existing account), and then tap Save.
  18. You may get a warning that says Server Connection Failed: The certificate for "user@yourdomain.com" may not be valid." If so, simply click Continue.
