How do I create and remove domain pointers?

Posted by Daniel on April 19, 2006

Domain pointers allow you to forward other domains to your main web site. The records of these other domains must have the same name servers as your main web site (this is done through the domain registrar).

From the dashboard, choose a plan to manage. Click the website tab and click the pointers link. Click create a new domain pointer. The source domain is the domain you want to point to your current active domain. For instance, yourotherdomain.com pointing to yourdomain.com. Choosing to create the pointer as a mirror will make the website content identical to the current active domain, otherwise it will simply redirect to the active domain.

Delete a pointer by clicking the delete (trashcan) icon.

Note: It may take up to 72 hours for the pointer to become active.
